The *NEW* Minecraft 1.19 update! (Part 1)

Hello everyone! It’s Isamu again, back for another article!

(Sorry this article is a bit late- it took a while to write because I’m a master procrastinator)

It’s my second article here on Articles 101, and I’m super excited about today’s topic!

Which is…

The new Minecraft 1.19 Wild Update!

This update has so many new and exciting features, such as frogs, mud, and so much more! Let’s break it down:

Features:

  • Mud, obtained by pouring water on dirt (Variations: Mud Bricks)

  • Frogs, naturally spawning in swamp biomes (Variations: Snowy frog, swamp frog, tropical frog, tadpole)

  • Fireflies, naturally spawning in swamp biomes, eaten by frogs (see above)

  • Mangrove trees, (we aren’t sure where they generate yet, either swamps or a new biome altogether) (Parts: Leaves, Mangrove wood, Roots)

  • Wardens, a hostile mob spawning in caves when you activate a sculk shrieker (see below)

  • Sculk, a dark bluish-greenish block that can spawn in a Warden (Variations: Sculk Sensor, thing that activates the Sculk Shrieker, Sculk Catalyst, thing that grows all the sculk, Sculk Shrieker, thing that spawns in the Warden)

  • Ancient City, made of deepslate blocks, many Sculk blocks, and loot chests. About the size of an ocean monument

  • Allay, winner of the mob vote, flies over when a note block is played and will find matching items if you give it a certain item and drop them back at the note block

  • Chest boats, pretty self explanatory, a chest in a boat. Not sure if it generates with loot, or it’s just a feature where you can put a chest in a boat.

So, now that we’ve basically broken down all the parts of the update, we can tell it’s going to be a pretty big update! One of the things I’m especially excited for is the mud bricks and the frogs. I think the frogs are super cute and the mud bricks are really pretty and will be very beneficial for builders! Now, for the 1.19 mob vote…

So there were three choices:

  • Glare

  • Allay

  • Copper Golem

I voted for the ally because I think we can all agree that the Glare was completely useless, and the Copper Golem is just meh. It only presses buttons randomly people, not when you want it to. Anyway, the Glare’s function is to fly into a random dark space and get mad if it’s dark enough for monsters to spawn. *cough-flying lettuce* No offense, but I think Mojang kinda ran out of ideas for this one. The next mob is the Allay. The Allay’s function is that if you play a note block, the Allay will fly over and dance. Then, if you give it an item, it will fly around and pick matching or similar items up, and bring them back to the note block. No, it is not a flying item duplicator, but it could really be useful for sending messages and sorting systems and things like that. The last option was the Copper Golem. Basically, a mini iron golem made out of copper that you could make yourself in the similar configuration of how you would make an iron one. They will wander around, and press copper buttons at random times, (which would also be added into the game,) and eventually oxidize over time and become useless. The Allay won, clearly, and there was obviously not a chance of the Glare winning.

I’m just not realizing that this article is going to be very long, so I’ll be coming out with part two soon! Stay tuned!

Peace, Love, and Minecraft!
