Anyways let’s get started with this article!

   Ok. Let’s say two days every week, you drive your car to the supermarket. You buys gas, plastic toys, glass and clay objects, smokers, wood, plastic bottles of water, and a 10-Pack of soda, all stored in multiple plastic bags. 

   One thing to say: ALL OF THIS IS BAD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT!!! The environment is our earth! We only have one planet. If we continue polluting this much, in thirty or so years our world will be a junkyard. Driving your to go to the supermarket and then back home twice every week pollutes the air and messes with climate change. It’s barely any driving and it’s so bad for the earth. Gasoline fuels your car, but it is also bad for the environment. Now I know you’re thinking ‘Well Romeo, I can’t just not drive ever again!’ but I’ll explain that later.

   Back to the supermarket thing - Each and every single one of those products you buy takes a lot of work and money to produce. First produced in a factory, (which also pollutes the air) then packaged (in a box that later gets thrown out), then loaded onto a truck, then driven to a supermarket, unloaded, put in a big cart, taken out of the cart and put in a back room, put in a back cart, then later unloaded out of that cart, put on display, bought, and finally, put in a basket or bag and taken by you. This process goes for most of the products you buy. No, I’m not saying you can’t buy anymore supermarket products (or any of the ones I listed above), I’m saying maybe reduce the amount of supermarket trips you take, only purchase what you need, and also try not to throw away, instead reuse, donate, or give away what you might or do not need anymore.

    Plastic toys are made with plastic, which usually ends up in the dumpster or ocean. You can still buy them, but again, try to give them away. If you have Facebook, look up a “Buy Nothing Group” in your area. You can give away stuff to people willing to take your item. You are also able to pick up things you might want or need, that others are giving away.

     Glass and clay objects? Same thing as the toys. Once again, reuse, recycle, donate, or give away. 

     Plastic bags are harmful to the environment and animals. Those soda cans could end up choking a sea turtle. Try getting a paper recyclable or reusable bag. They can be recycled and reused. 

    Some places in the United States have already acknowledged the harm plastic has done to the Earth, and have banned plastic bags, like California.

    Now to the smokers part - Smokers affect not only you but people around you and the air (once again an  example of another thing that messes with climate change). Smoking can cause coughing, lung cancer, and other effects to not just you, but to the people around you. 

    Plastic water bottles? They’re best on special occasions only. It is okay to use plastic water bottles sometimes, but don’t use them often. Try to use reusable water bottles instead. 

    Wood takes both trees and work to cut down for us. We use way too much of it. Once again, don’t use wood often and really, don’t cut down trees yourself. Humans use trees for buildings, fires, paper, and more. It is overused.

     Now lastly, the car problem. Maybe try to driving less times, and also try biking or walking to nearby places that you don’t need to drive to, like your neighbor’s house.

     It’s too late to change our world to 100% clean and healthy, but at least we can slow and stop it’s fate.

     I hope this article has informed you of the harm plastic, driving, pollution, climate change, and etc does to our one, beautiful world. I also hope you think about this article every time you drive, or buy something , or litter, or smoke. But lastly, some actions you can take to help our planet:

Plant Trees

Use Fertilizer

Grow Plants

Walk and Bike More

Donate, Recycle, Give Away, Or Reuse Uneeded Toys and Items

Do Not Smoke

Use Reusable and Paper Bags

Buy Only What You Need

Leave Only The Lights You Need On (SAVE ELECTRICITY!)

And You Can Find Other Ways To Help The Earth Too!

     Let’s change the first sentences: Once every three or two weeks, you drive (electric cars are recommended) or bike your way to the supermarket. You buy vegetables, flowers, garden materials, nutrient soil, and plant/tree seeds.
